Showing page 1 of 1      Event Name Mandy Marham fundraiser/Lantana reunion Event Date 2/18/2012 Classes Included 1965 - 1976 Reunion Details This started as a reunion, but now it is a full blown benefit/fundraiser for the Children of Mandy Markham. All money collected will go to Mandy's children, Jada (11) and Nicholas (5). For those of you that are not aware, Mandy passed suddenly 11/06/11 and left behind two wonderful children. Allot of you "guys" might remember surfing with her dad, Johnny Markham back in the day, and her mother Charlene Markham Orf. We all grew up here together, the least we can do is help out some dear friends when we can. None of us know when our last day on earth will come, so for some of us this benefit may be our last chance to see old friends before the next funeral. Stop putting off seeing someone you truly care about and miss and join us for a day of remembrances, telling lies, name calling, finger pointing and down right gossip for all the right reasons. Bring your favorite "Lantana" adventure stories. If you can prove it with a picture there may be a prize involved. Local band 'Rabid Jack' and friends will be playing old and new favorites so we can get our "boogy" on. If you think you lost your "boogy", don't worry, come to the party and find it in our "lost and found boogy box". Guaranteed that is where it is. OKAY FOLKS HERE'S THE DEAL. REMEMBER THIS IS A BENEFIT TOO. BBQ The cost is $15per person, kids plates $5 (under 12). This is about Lantana taking care of it's own. The price will just about cover expenses for the food and park fees,etc,etc, so please be generous with the raffles and donations for the kids. BBQ pork, BBQ chicken, hot dogs with the fixins. Sides probably will be baked beans, cole slaw and potato/macaroni salad. Water and soda and baked goodies will be for sale and all proceeds go towards the Mandy Markham Fund. Bring plenty of $1 dollar bills for raffles, cakes, cookies and pies.
